One of just **176 examples built for public sale** during the AIV Roadster’s hand-assembled production run, this lightweight American roadster combines distinctive styling with Ford V8 power and a five-speed manual transmission.
Power comes from its **original 4.6-liter 32-valve DOHC V8**, which has been dyno-tuned by Swanson Performance using a Diablo chip. Additional performance upgrades include a **Pro-M mass air meter** and **BBK dual 62mm throttle body**. The engine is paired with a **T45 five-speed manual transmission**, sending power to the rear wheels through a **Ford Motorsport 8.8-inch rear differential with Traction-Lok and 3.73 gears**.
A full stainless-steel exhaust system features stepped headers, 2.5-inch piping, and MagnaFlow mufflers, giving the 4.6-liter V8 an appropriately aggressive exhaust note.
Braking is handled by the **Cobra Brake Package**, featuring drilled and slotted rotors measuring 13 inches up front and 12 inches at the rear.
The AIV—or **Aluminum Intensive Vehicle**—was engineered around an exceptionally lightweight aluminum structure.
